Well Played Board Game Café is looking for fun and upbeat professionals to join our team! As North Carolina’s first board game café, Well Played is accepting resumes from those who enjoy having fun and ensuring that our guests have a great time playing our collection of over 700 board games while enjoying delicious food and beverages.

Everyone is welcome at Well Played. We strive to provide a comfortable and fun experience for all, centered around classic and modern board games and punctuated by great food and drink. In addition to an excellent guest experience, Well Played offers a great staff experience centered around respect, transparency, and of course, fun. We are a board game café, after all.

Knowledge of board games and restaurant experience is helpful but not required. Friendly interactions while helping guests choose games to play and excellent rapport with your team are a must. Every member of our team is cross-trained in all areas of the cafe (kitchen, bar, front of house, dish). While you may prefer working in one or two of these areas, we expect all team members to become proficient in each of these areas.

Starting pay is $7.25/hr plus tips with a guaranteed minimum of $15/hr. There is also a structured program to earn more for competency in the kitchen, bar, front of house, and gaming areas of the cafe. Tips are shared by means of a daily tip pool. Well Played will provide your uniform (t-shirt and hat), a shift meal, an employee discount, and unlimited gaming while off-shift. Your schedule can be flexible – we want to work with you to build a schedule that meets your needs.
